Single Blended Rum refers to a blend of Rums produced at the same distillery (Foursquare) using both Pot Still and Traditional Continuous Column distillates.

This expression is a blend of two Foursquare Rums: one aged for 14 years exclusively in American oak barrels, and another first aged for 10 years in American oak barrels, followed by 4 years in Oloroso sherry barrels.

According to Hampden (another distillery, not Foursquare), 7 years of aging in a tropical climate results in an Angel's Share and maturation equivalent to approximately 25 years of aging in Europe, at a ratio of about 1 : 3.5.

Online Tasting Notes Reference

Nose:
Spicy, vanilla, sherry, wet wood, coconut, olive, chocolate and brown sugar.

Palate:
Complex, with chemicals, tobacco leaves, caramel, faint smoke, bitter chocolate and nutmeg and star anise.

Finish:
Long and sweet, with vanilla and red fruit jelly and cocoa.
