而Early Landed, Late Bottled Brandy 即未Bottle已離開Cognac區的Brandy, 所以就算出身Cognac區以及絕大部份時間於Cognac區陳年, 但在法例上不能叫作"Cognac"。

為了讓消費者知道此類Brandy其實與Cognac分別不大, 一般都在酒標上標上Early Landed, Late Bottled Brandy 或 Cognac sub-region (e.g. Grande Champagne) 以作識別。
