The label features a mongoose, an animal introduced to Jamaica to control the rat population for sugarcane protection, which inspired the label design.
As most of the rum is supplied to Diageo for Captain Morgan and Myers's, some is produced under their own brand name Monymusk.
The name Clarendon Distillery is rarely seen.

Nose:
Heaps of ripe banana, supported by fudge and waxy green apple.

Palate:
Pineapple and fried banana, with notes of liquorice and rich, dark treacle.

Finish:
Honeycomb and pink marshmallow, with tropical guava.
