Smögen is a Swedish distillery founded in 2009 by Pär Caldenby, a lawyer and whisky enthusiast. Smögen is also the name of the locality where it is situated.
While their releases are limited, several expressions from 2019 and 2020 have received excellent scores on Whiskyfun (WF), drawing significant attention to this young distillery.
Although priced competitively compared to European averages, whether the 500ml format justifies the cost is a matter of personal opinion. Highly recommended for those interested in young distilleries and new releases.
