Smögen is a distillery located in Sweden, founded in 2009 by a lawyer & whisky enthusiast Pär Caldenby.
Smögen is also the name of a place in Sweden.
They don't produce many bottlings, but several releases in 2019 & 2020 achieved very good results at WF,
drawing public attention to this young distillery.

Aroma-
Strong peat smoke, date syrup, dried figs, cinnamon, prunes, note of sweet nutty, slightly earthy note and fine tobacco.

Palate-
Sweet and spicy. Barbecue sauce, subtle rum raisins nestle with butterscotch, heavy peat smoke, extinguished campfire, cigar tobacco.

Finish-
Long and smoky with maritime notes, sweet raisins and salty liquorice.
