When it comes to non-Islay peated whiskies, Ledaig and Ardmore are among my personal favorites, especially regarding their price-to-quality ratio (though in part, that is because the prices of Islay whiskies have risen too quickly).
Beyond its signature oily peat profile, this SV Ledaig utilizes a refill sherry butt to add an extra layer of complexity, making it a standout choice among the increasingly popular "peat & sherry" category.
