Named after a village on Islay, this whisky pays homage to traditional Islay peated style. Unlike many whiskies distilled on Islay but matured on the Scottish mainland, Port Charlotte 10 insists on '100% Islay Maturation'. This means that throughout its ten years of aging, every drop breathes the Atlantic sea air in the distillery's warehouses, imparting a unique marine minerality and salty, savory flavour.Regarding its craftsmanship, this whisky is composed of approximately 65% First-fill American whiskey casks, 10% Second-fill American whiskey casks, and 25% Second-fill French Red Wine casks.
