Port Charlotte 10 Years Old is meticulously crafted by the renowned Bruichladdich distillery. Named after a village on Islay, this whisky pays homage to traditional Islay peat styles. Unlike many whiskies that are distilled on Islay but matured on the mainland, Port Charlotte 10 is '100% Islay matured'. This means every drop has breathed the Atlantic salt air for ten years, giving it a unique mineral and saline character.In terms of craftsmanship, it uses a blend of 65% first-fill American whiskey casks, 10% second-fill American whiskey casks, and 25% second-fill French wine casks. This transcontinental cask influence makes the 40ppm smoke elegant and multi-dimensional.
