OMAR Single Malt Whisky is produced by the Nantou Distillery under the Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corporation (TTL). The distillery takes advantage of Taiwan's unique humid and hot climate to accelerate the interaction between the liquid and the oak casks, allowing the whisky to exhibit deep flavors similar to high-aged whiskies in a shorter time. This Sherry Cask version is the pride of its core range, bottled using a Non-Chill Filtered method to retain the richest mouthfeel and natural color.

Located in central Taiwan, Nantou Distillery enjoys high-quality water sources and distinct seasonal changes. OMAR means 'Amber' in Gaelic, aptly describing the charming amber hue this whisky achieves after maturation. Due to the hot climate, the 'Angel's Share' loss per year is significantly higher than in Scotland, but it is this rapid maturation that gives OMAR its unique 'Southern Island' character.
