Product Details
OMAR means 'Amber' in Scottish Gaelic, symbolizing the whisky's captivating liquid hue. This bourbon cask edition is bottled using Non-Chill Filtration, ensuring the rich oils and aromatic essence are fully preserved. Thanks to Nantou's unique geography and high humidity, the interaction between whisky and wood is intensified, shortening maturation time while increasing complexity.

The Nantou Distillery, owned by the Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corporation (TTL), is located in the scenic hills of Nantou. Using pure water from the Central Mountain Range, the distillery began producing single malt whisky in 2008. Due to the hot climate, the annual 'Angel's Share' reaches 6-7%, far higher than Scotland's 2%, allowing OMAR whisky to showcase powerful and concentrated tropical fruit flavors in a shorter period.
This Bourbon Cask expression is the cornerstone of the OMAR range. With no added caramel coloring, it perfectly balances the vanilla and toasted bread aromas of the bourbon cask with Taiwan's unique fruit character. Whether enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or with a few drops of water, it reflects the craftsmanship of the Orient. Its refreshing nature also pairs excellently with seafood and poultry.
