Product Details
Nikka Gold & Gold (G&G) was originally launched in 1968, personally supervised by Nikka founder Masataka Taketsuru. This special edition features a visually stunning samurai armor set (helmet and breastplate) made of high-quality plastic that can be detached and re-fitted onto the bottle. It has long been one of the most popular souvenirs in Japanese airport duty-free shops. The liquid itself is a blend of premium malt and grain whiskies from the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries, crafted for ultimate balance and drinkability.

The history of Nikka Whisky is inseparable from Masataka Taketsuru, the 'Father of Japanese Whisky'. After studying traditional whisky production in Scotland in 1918, he returned to Japan and founded Nikka in 1934.
The Gold & Gold series has been a flagship blend for Nikka since 1968. Created during Japan's period of high economic growth, Nikka aimed to bring high-quality whisky to more people through this balanced G&G expression. The 'Samurai Version' pays homage to traditional Japanese spirit, with armor design that captures the majesty of Sengoku-era generals, symbolizing Nikka's commitment to craftsmanship and quality protection.
While the packaging is a conversation starter, the liquid inside is equally impressive. It combines the power and peat of Yoichi with the elegant floral and fruity notes of Miyagikyo. Whether as a home display or shared with friends, this whisky represents exceptional taste and historical depth.
