The legend of Monkey 47 began in the 1950s with Montgomery Collins, a retired British RAF Wing Commander who moved to the Black Forest. With a passion for gin, he opened a guesthouse called 'The Wild Monkey' and created a unique gin using local botanicals. Years later, Alexander Stein and master distiller Christoph Keller rediscovered and refined this recipe, creating the Monkey 47 we know today. Each bottle is housed in a vintage brown apothecary bottle, symbolizing its artisanal precision and medicinal heritage.
