Many very old Cognacs are transferred to large glass bottles after decades of cask maturation to 'freeze' the aging process.

This Mauxion bottling, curated by the Hong Kong Abyss Whisky Bar, was distilled in 1928. In 2025, the head of Abyss personally traveled to the Mauxion cellars in France to select this specific bottling directly from the oak cask, chosen from over a hundred barrels.

Nearly a century of continuous cask aging creates the extremely rare, ultra-aged Lot 28 Cognac.
