Many very old Cognacs are transferred to large glass bottles after decades of maturation in wood casks to 'freeze' the aging process.

This Mauxion bottling, bottled for Hong Kong's Abyss Whisky Bar, was distilled in 1928. In 2025, the head of Abyss personally visited the Mauxion cellars in France and selected this cask from over a hundred existing Cognacs for bottling directly from the oak.

Nearly a century of continuous cask aging has created the extremely rare, very old Lot 28 Cognac.
