Online tasting note for reference:
Nose: Racy and deep, with salted butter caramel, candied apricot and mango alongside earthy notes of loam and truffle; with aeration, increasingly intense smoke becomes medicinal, camphorated and iodized.
Palate: Fine and complex, where peat and sherry play as equals; dried fruits (date, fig), citrus (tangerine, orange) and toffee counterpoint notes of tobacco, iodine tincture and chocolatey, tertiary peat (moss, lichen).
Finish: Delicate and subtle, deeply malty and marine with seaweed, empyreumatic notes of tyre and bitumen and animal hints of bacon and smoked fish, followed by a gourmet retro-olfaction of apricot tart and heather honey and a long-lasting malty echo.
