In 1998, Fifth Master Distiller David Stewart was inspired by the sherry cellars of Spain to create the Solera Vat. After maturing in sherry, bourbon, and new oak casks for 15 years, the whisky is mellowed in this large, handcrafted pine vat, which is kept at least half full to ensure ultimate consistency and harmony.
