Product Details
Distilled in 1989, this GlenAllachie 35 Year Old has rested in the warehouses for over three decades. It spent its initial 28 years in American Oak casks, which established a robust foundation. Subsequently, legendary Master Blender Billy Walker chose to transfer the liquid into specially selected Pedro Ximénez (PX) Sherry, Oloroso Sherry, and Virgin Oak casks for a prolonged 7-year secondary maturation. This complex finishing process not only enhances the richness of the whisky but also achieves a flawless balance between various wood characteristics.

Since Billy Walker took over, GlenAllachie has transformed into a boutique distillery focused on quality and innovative cask management. This 35-year-old release is a testament to time and a summary of Billy Walker’s career. The spirit distilled in 1989 breathed slowly in the mild Speyside climate until it was bottled in 2024 at an ideal 48% ABV.
What makes this whisky truly special is the seven-year finishing period. While most finishes last months or up to two years, GlenAllachie opted for an extended duration, allowing the deep fruitiness of PX and Oloroso Sherry and the structural influence of Virgin Oak to penetrate the core of the spirit. Offering rare depth and complexity, this high-age statement release is one of the most investment-worthy Speyside single malts on the market.
