Product Details
Distilled in 1989, this GlenAllachie 35 Year Old has rested in the cellars for over three decades. It initially matured in American oak for 28 years, providing a solid structure. Legendary Master Blender Billy Walker then decided to transfer it into hand-selected Pedro Ximénez (PX) Sherry casks, Oloroso Sherry casks, and Virgin Oak for a further 7-year secondary maturation. This complex finishing process not only enhances the richness but also achieves a perfect balance between different wood characteristics.

Under Billy Walker's leadership, the GlenAllachie Distillery has transformed into a boutique distillery focused on quality and innovative wood management. This 35-year-old expression is not just a witness to time but a summary of Billy Walker's storied career. Distilled in 1989, the spirit breathed slowly in Speyside's gentle climate until being bottled in 2024 at an ideal 48% ABV.
The uniqueness of this whisky lies in its '7-year' finish. While standard finishes usually last months to two years, GlenAllachie opted for a longer period to allow the deep fruit notes of PX and Oloroso Sherry and the structural integrity of Virgin Oak to penetrate the core of the spirit. This high-age expression showcases a depth and complexity rare in Speyside whiskies, making it one of the most promising investment-grade Scotch single malts on the market.
