At Alcohol Please, besides Whisky, Wine & Rum, we also hope to bring other high-quality spirits.
We hope you'll think of us when you're looking for delicious and great-value spirits.
This time, we bring you this 50-year-old Cognac, selected by an Independent Bottler (IB) I believe is on the rise.
Vallein-Tercinier is a family estate that has been producing Cognac since 1850, located in the western part of the Cognac region, now managed by the fifth generation of the family.
Wu Dram Clan is a relatively new IB Brand. Besides Whisky, they also cover spirits like Cognac and Armagnac.
According to the Whiskybase (WB), their first participation in an IB bottling was in 2019 (it's uncertain if they bottled other spirits before this).
The bottlings they have participated in have received quite high scores.
Recently, the most impressive ones were the 19-year-old Springbank with a deer label (WF90), and the 18-year-old 'Alien' (presumably...) Bowmore (WN91).
You can also search their name on WB to see that their general scores are quite good, naturally excluding a small number of bottlings with very few reviews that achieved 9x scores.
