Online tasting note for reference:
Nose: A complex, perfumed nose, with scorched grass, developing vanilla fudge, and freshly-peeled orange. Less waxy than previous years, but rather more fruity. Lime, pink grapefruit, mango and passion fruits. Hay. Subtle mineral notes, a bit of candle wax, delicate vanilla cream.
Palate: Classic Clynelish waxiness, with toffee, more orange, peach, digestive biscuits, cinnamon, and developing pepper. Clearly more waxy notes now, and warming toffee, before the fruity notes take over. Peach, orange candy, red apples, honey. Great balance of fruits and minerals. Custardy notes. Gentle bitterness and a salty twist towards the end. Creamy and malty. Malty with light peat and sea water, briny.
Finish: The lengthy, creamy finish features chocolate-coated orange candy and ginger. Long, oaky (pepper, nutmeg), salt and menthol. Malt and sea notes.
