Unlike the common regular Black Tot (46.2%), this Black Tot 2021 white label is bottled at Navy Strength 54.5%. The back label is very informative, clearly listing the components including the more famous Foursquare, Hampden, Demerara etc., and also incorporating the previous 50th anniversary Black Tot edition.

Official tasting note for reference

NOSE Cinnamon sticks, cooking in brown butter, with nutmeg and cloves. Overripe mangoes and baked bananas, with dusty dark chocolate.

PALATE A huge hit of concentrated orange and mango juice, with fresh mint and golden brown caster sugar.

FINISH Clementine and mandarin make up a citrus salad, evolving with a pleasing dryness reminiscent of thyme and oregano. Right at the very end, a hint of diesel oil.
