In addition to the Benromach Core Range and the small annual batches of Cask Strength we previously introduced, this time we bring you a Single Cask bottling.
Benromach underwent several closures and reconstructions, finally being acquired by G&M in 1993. Their goal was to revive what they considered the traditional Speyside flavor profile—emphasizing fruitiness alongside a light, smoky peat note.

This 2019 Single Cask #40 is a distillery-exclusive bottling, still utilizing the old design from that era and continuing to mature in their signature 1st fill casks.

Master of Malt tasting notes for reference

Nose: Cooked apple and caramel, cinnamon and oak char, with heaps of red fruit.

Palate: Black pepper, Medjool dates and toffee apple, with a delicate hint of smoke alongside fruitcake.

Finish: Waxy orange peel appears alongside ginger and dark chocolate biscuits.
