Benromach
Benromach 10YO (old design), 43%
Type : Single malt whisky
Strength : 43% vol.
Content : 700ml
Benromach has gone through several restarts but was finally acquired by G&M in 1993, who aimed to restore its traditional Speyside character – emphasizing fruitiness alongside a light peat smoke.
It utilizes 1st fill casks, which they insist on, offering excellent value for an introductory expression.
P.S. If you are interested in Benromach, visit their official website for production overviews, including process introductions and videos.

Nose:
Dry, barley, big on malt and oak. Dry pine, fruity. A tad spirity. Sweet spices after a time and a hint of puckering prune from the sherry cask and maple fudge.
Palate:
Barley, slightly herbal, a little fruit, grassy. Big on malt, ground ginger.
Finish:
Mouthwateringly bittersweet. Ginger, dry sherry, almost hoppy after a while.
