Nose- The influence of the red wine casks is immediately noticeable with ripe notes of dark berries, such as black cherries and plums, along with a hint of liquorice and spices. You can also expect soft aromas of vanilla and oak.

Taste- Full-bodied and powerful, with rich fruitiness coming from the cabernet sauvignon barrels. Flavours of red grapes, blackcurrants and a subtle hint of chocolate mingle with spicy notes like cinnamon and nutmeg. The cask strength of 55.7% adds a spicy warmth, but without being overwhelming.

Finish- Long and warming, with a lingering fruitiness, followed by spicy undertones and a touch of oak, making for a nicely balanced finish.
