The Arran Distillery (now known as Lochranza Distillery) is located at the northern tip of the beautiful Isle of Arran. Founded in 1995 by industry legend Harold Currie, it aimed to revive the island's rich whisky-making tradition from the 19th century. As one of only two legal distilleries on the island, Arran remains independent, allowing them to focus on quality and traditional craftsmanship.
This 10 Years Old expression has been the core of the distillery since 2006. Its water source, Loch na Davie, provides pure mountain spring water filtered through peat and granite. By using long fermentation times and slow distillation, the distillery captures elegant, delicate esters that define Arran's charming fruitiness.
Notably, the bottle was redesigned in 2019, featuring two carved eagles representing the golden eagles that nest above the distillery. For enthusiasts, the Arran 10 is more than an entry-level bottle; it represents the pure environment of the island and a dedication to single malt purity.
