Over the past few years, the price of Committee Release has continued to rise, but at the same time, the quality is believed to have disappointed many supporters.
This year's Scorch setting is reminiscent of the Ardbeg Alligator that also uses Charred cask

Official Tasting Notes for reference:

Nose :
Nutty, spicy, intense with hints of aniseed and patchouli. Smoky, herbal notes, and an impression of oily smoke. With a splash of water more of the classic Ardbeg 'fennel/herbal/pine' top notes.

Palate :
Oily spicy mouthfeel with a burst of antiseptic lozenges, tar, liquorice, clovepepper. This is then followed by some sweet smoke like briar or sandalwood.

Finish :
A long, but subtle, sooty, tarry aftertaste.
