Aberlour 18 Years Old Single Malt is a member of the distillery's high-end core range. Utilizing their signature 'Double Cask' maturation technique, the spirit spends 18 long years in premium sherry casks, absorbing rich fruit and spice textures. This expression is not only exceptionally smooth but also displays a deep mahogany hue, making it a premier choice for those seeking the Speyside sherry style.

The Aberlour distillery is located in the heart of the Speyside region in the village of Aberlour. Founded by James Fleming in 1879, the site was chosen for its access to spring water from the Ben Rinnes mountain range. The name Aberlour means 'mouth of the chattering burn' in Gaelic, symbolizing the pure contribution of the water source to the whisky's quality.
The distillery adheres to traditional craftsmanship, particularly its famous 'Double Cask' maturation. Aberlour 18 Years Old was previously a limited release for specific markets like France; due to its outstanding depth and complexity, it was later launched globally. Unlike the lighter Speyside styles, Aberlour pursues a more robust, creamy body, largely thanks to its short and wide still design that retains heavier flavor molecules. The 18-year maturation transforms vibrant fruitiness into deep dried fruit and spice notes, perfectly interpreting the elegance and power of Speyside whisky.
