The Whisky Exchange Unveils Exclusive Whiskies for Whisky Show 2025
The Whisky Exchange has announced it will unveil seven exclusive limited-edition whiskies at the Whisky Show, taking place in London from October 3rd to 5th this year. These rare bottles, making their debut and spanning Scotland, Japan, South Korea, and Ireland, underscore The Whisky Exchange's commitment to the global whisky market and offer an unprecedented tasting experience for whisky aficionados.
Among the highlights is the debut Irish whisky selection for The Whisky Exchange, curated by renowned whisky writer Dave Broom – The Boann 2021 Oloroso Hogshead. Limited to just 318 bottles, this dram showcases the delicate charm of Irish whisky with its unique flavor profile, described in the official tasting notes as 'cut grass, citrus peel, tinned fruit, and pineapple chunks'.
In Asian whiskies, two highly anticipated expressions are not to be missed. From Japan, the Kanosuke 2019 5 Year Old Bourbon Cask, bottled by The Heart Cut, is limited to 150 bottles. Its aroma blends 'toasted marshmallow, honeycomb, and black tea', while the palate offers 'bright lemon verbena and ripe apricot'. South Korea's Ki One distillery makes its international debut with its 2021 Single Cask exclusive release. Limited to 243 bottles, this whisky impresses with flavors of 'vanilla spice alongside notes of brown sugar, maple, and dried fruit', marking Ki One's first-ever cask bottling for external parties.
Scottish whiskies feature prominently in this collection with four offerings. These include an extremely rare 33-year-old Benrinnes from the 1992 Gleann Mor Rare Find bottling. Tormore distillery contributes one of the first single cask exclusives since its acquisition by Elixir Distillers in 2022, the 2009 Legacy. Furthermore, The Whisky Exchange has partnered with independent bottler Adelphi to present a 13-year-old Benriach re-casked in Pedro Ximinez sherry casks. Finally, from Campbeltown, Glen Scotia offers a rare heavily peated expression, described in its official tasting notes as having a 'gentle grassy smoke on the nose, with rich earthy, leafy notes and a hint of milk chocolate'.
The Whisky Show 2025 will be held from October 3rd to 5th. Based on past experience, The Whisky Exchange anticipates that many of these exclusive releases will sell out during the event weekend.
