The Whisky Exchange Unveils January Exclusive Spirits

A Limited-Edition Flavor Feast from Scotland, Kentucky, and Jamaica

UK-based retailer The Whisky Exchange has unveiled three exclusive spirits for January 2026, featuring a single malt Scotch whisky, a single barrel Bourbon, and a single cask Jamaican rum. These new releases come from Scotland's Torabhaig Distillery, America's Bardstown Bourbon Company, and Jamaica's Hampden Estate, and are now available online and in-store.

Torabhaig 2018 Scottish Oak Single Cask

The first exclusive is the Torabhaig 2018 Scottish Oak Single Cask, a peated single malt from the second licensed distillery on the Isle of Skye. This whisky underwent a 16-month finish in rare Scottish oak, a material notoriously difficult to work with. Bottled at 58.7% ABV, it is a limited release. The brand describes the flavor profile as having "well-integrated smoke accompanied by roasted apples and aged leather notes."

Bardstown Bourbon Company 8 Year Old Single Barrel

Representing the US is the Bardstown Bourbon Company 8 Year Old Single Barrel. This Kentucky straight Bourbon is limited to just 144 bottles. The mash bill consists of 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley, bottled at a cask strength of 64.6% ABV. The Whisky Exchange experts have hailed this release as "the best whisky we have tasted from Bardstown to date."

Hampden Estate HLCF 2023 Sherry Cask

The final exclusive is the Hampden Estate HLCF 2023 Sherry Cask, a single pot still rum from the historic Jamaican distillery famous for its high-ester "funk." This batch was aged in sherry casks from Bodegas Fundador, representing a relatively new experimental territory for the distillery. Bottled at 64.6% ABV, tasting notes highlight "typical Jamaican funk with tropical fruits, rich sugar cane grassiness, and intense dried fruit notes from the oak." All limited editions are available via The Whisky Exchange website and stores.
