The Ned Partners with The Macallan for Inaugural Christmas Tree Collaboration
London's renowned landmark The Ned has announced its inaugural Christmas tree collaboration with the single malt Scotch whisky brand The Macallan, set to brighten the 2025 festive season. This is a landmark event for The Ned, being its first brand-partnered Christmas tree since its opening in 2017.
Designed by The Macallan, the Christmas tree will stand proudly within The Ned's grand historic banking hall from November 24th to December 29th. Drawing inspiration from The Macallan's deep roots in Speyside, the tree artfully incorporates the brand's signature red hue, elegantly blending elements of oak and copper to showcase its unique craftsmanship. Adorning the tree are copper-toned spheres, inspired by The Macallan's copper stills, while white ornaments featuring The Macallan 'M' logo and deep red velvet bows add a touch of elegance.
To echo the natural beauty of Scotland, strings of berries, acorns, and leaves hang from the tree, bringing the vibrancy of Scottish flora and fauna indoors. Gareth Banner, Group General Manager at The Ned, expressed his delight in inviting The Macallan to this occasion, stating that the collaboration embodies their shared pursuit of exquisite craftsmanship, heritage storytelling, and timeless elegance.
In conjunction with this festive event, The Ned's Library Bar will feature special Macallan whisky cocktails and selected drams throughout the holiday period. Lutyens Grill will also offer a curated selection of The Macallan cocktails.
Sergio Cabello, The Macallan's UK lead, excitedly shared his anticipation of creating a memorable festive experience with The Ned, expressing hope that this collaboration will bring people together to create joyful moments worth celebrating.
The Ned is an exclusive members' club and hotel located in the City of London, formerly the headquarters of Midland Bank. It boasts nine restaurants, multiple bars, and event spaces across its expansive premises. The Macallan distillery is situated in Speyside and is globally renowned for its sherry-seasoned oak casks and distinctive single malt whiskies, operating as a global brand under the Edrington Group.
