The Macallan Launches Exclusive Harmony Guardian Oak Whisky Experience at JFK Terminal 4

The Macallan recently launched a month-long exclusive event at New York's JFK Airport Terminal 4 to celebrate the release of its Harmony Collection IV Guardian Oak whisky. The event, running until late April, aims to provide travelers with an immersive whisky experience.

The Harmony Collection has now reached its fourth edition, showcasing The Macallan's commitment to sustainability with packaging made from natural materials. A specially designed display highlights the Harmony Guardian Oak bottle and its unique collaboration with Cirque du Soleil. Travelers can engage in an interactive sensory experience to learn about the sherry cask aging process, including the evolution from new oak to aged whisky through acorn-shaped glass vessels filled with oak chips.

The Macallan noted that the launch of Harmony Guardian Oak coincides with a time when travelers are rediscovering the world and seeking unique experiences. The display also connects The Macallan's Six Pillars philosophy with Cirque du Soleil's SPIRIT performance characters.

The packaging of Harmony Guardian Oak draws inspiration from Cirque du Soleil's Davonna character, with a purple hue symbolizing wisdom and maturity, reflecting the whisky's delicate flavors from sherry cask aging. Tasting notes describe aromas of dried fruits like dates, figs, and raisins, blended with orange peel, dark chocolate, and warm nutmeg. The palate offers sweet ginger syrup and orange notes, while the finish features honeyed dates, cherries, raisins, and hints of oak and sweet spices.
