The Glenlivet is proud to introduce the second edition of the Small Batch Collection, featuring three new limited-edition single malts aged 17, 19, and 20 years. This latest series from the Speyside distillery is named after its unique flavor profiles: Wildflower Honey, Indulgent Chocolate, and Orchard Fruitiness.

Each whisky in the collection is bottled at Cask Strength and is non-chill filtered. The creation of this series was guided by The Glenlivet Cask Master Kevin Balmforth and his team, showcasing the extraordinary depth of Speyside single malt.

Small Batch Series Flavor Breakdown

The Glenlivet 17 Year Old Wildflower Honey was matured exclusively in first-fill American oak casks. Official tasting notes describe top notes of apple, boiled lime sweets, and honeysuckle, with mid-palate flavors of honeydew melon, lemon drizzle cake, toasted almonds, and ginger spice.

The 19 Year Old Indulgent Chocolate combines maturation from first-fill American oak, first-fill Sherry casks, and refill ex-Scotch casks. Expect rich notes of raisins, orange peel, hazelnut chocolate cream, and candied walnuts, offering a layered and delicate experience.

The 20 Year Old Orchard Fruitiness blends first-fill American oak, refill ex-Scotch casks, and refill American oak hogsheads. As the oldest expression in the collection, it delivers complex layers of charred caramel figs, ripe plums, toffee, cinnamon, and molasses.

A Celebration of Flavor by the Cask Master

Kevin Balmforth states that The Glenlivet Small Batch Collection is a celebration of exploration, inviting enthusiasts to discover an extraordinary spectrum of flavors through meticulous cask combinations. He describes the 17yo as starting with bright citrus, the 19yo bringing rich dark fruits, and the 20yo offering dense orchard fruits and warm spices for a syrupy, fruity experience.

This new collection is available in limited quantities, with only 9,900 bottles of the 17 Year Old, 3,936 bottles of the 19 Year Old, and just 2,736 bottles of the 20 Year Old. This series continues the legacy of The Glenlivet after the success of the first generation.
