Starlight Distillery 10-Year Bourbon: Indiana Craftsmanship

From Estate Grains to 10-Year Cask Strength: A Milestone for the Huber Family's Indiana Craftsmanship

Located in Indiana, Starlight Distillery has announced the release of its limited 10-Year Reserve Bourbon. This expression is crafted entirely from grains grown on the Huber family estate, demonstrating the distillery's exceptional control over local raw materials. Representing seven generations of distilling tradition, this whiskey marks a milestone in the distillery's pursuit of ultimate quality. An open house event will be held in June 2026 in Borden, Indiana, to celebrate its release, offering enthusiasts a chance to meet the makers.

This whiskey was personally selected by Ted, Blake, and Christian Huber from ten of the distillery's oldest barrels. The recipe combines three- and four-grain mash bills, featuring heirloom corn and Indiana rye. The process utilizes Sweet Mash fermentation and double distillation in Vendome copper pot stills. The spirit was aged for ten years at a low entry proof, maturing in the warm Warehouse #2, and was finally bottled at 114.2 Proof to ensure absolute maturity and deep complexity.

Christian Huber stated that this release is a statement of the family's legacy. The flavor profile features notes of caramel, vanilla, and ripe fruit; the palate offers layers of toffee, honey, and oak; while the finish is elegant with strong structure. Starlight Distillery remains committed to its Field-to-Bottle model. Recently, at the 2026 ASCOT Awards, its Bottled in Bond Single Barrel and Mizunara Reserve both earned Double Platinum honors, reaffirming its leadership in craft whiskey on an international stage.
