Scotland's Largest Multi-City Whisky Festival Returns!

A National Whisky Pilgrimage Across Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Edinburgh

Scotland's largest multi-city whisky festival, Whisky Week, is making a grand return. Kicking off on August 20, 2026, the event spans three cities—Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Edinburgh—connecting regions across Scotland into the nation's biggest whisky pilgrimage through a series of tastings, distillery tours, and exclusive experiences. The event runs until September 13.

Unlike traditional single-venue whisky exhibitions, Whisky Week encourages participants to explore famous bars throughout the cities. Each participating specialty bar teams up with renowned distilleries or whisky brands to offer limited-edition festival menus. The participant list includes iconic locations such as The Pot Still, Teuchters Bar, Port of Leith Distillery, The Grill, and Aberdeen Whisky Shop.

Top Brands and Independent Makers Gather

This event brings together numerous top brands and independent Scotch whisky producers. Partners include Glenfiddich, Springbank, Glengoyne, Glen Moray, Kingsbarns, Kilchoman, Wemyss Malts, Caol Ila, and Tamnavulin, comprehensively showcasing the rich diversity and cultural heritage of the Scotch whisky industry.

Co-founder Gregor Sey pointed out that the core value of whisky lies not only in the liquid in the glass, but also in the companions shared along the way, the compelling stories behind every drop, and the venues that breathe life into Scotch whisky culture. The event aims to let seasoned connoisseurs and beginners alike explore new flavors and support exceptional local bars in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

Throughout the festival, the Aberdeen leg will take place from August 20 to 30, the Glasgow leg from August 27 to September 6, and the Edinburgh leg will conclude from September 3 to 13, delivering an in-depth and unforgettable exploration experience for whisky enthusiasts citywide.
