Scotland’s annual spirits highlight, the Drinkmonger Spirits Fair, will return to Edinburgh in March 2026. Hailed as Scotland’s largest spirits tasting, the event will take place at Mansfield Traquair. With growing public interest in mixology, this edition emphasizes bartender-led sessions, reflecting the market's demand for social drinking experiences over traditional structured tastings.
Over 150 Spirits Gathered, Introducing Japanese Sake and Shochu
The fair brings together over 30 producers showcasing more than 150 spirits. In addition to Gin, Agave spirits, Whisky, and Rum, the selection includes liqueurs. For the first time, 2026 will introduce Japanese Sake and Shochu. Featured brands include Scotland’s Pickering’s Gin and North Uist Distillery, alongside international icons like Don Julio, Redbreast, and Nikka.

The Art of Home Pouring: Top Bartenders Teach Simple Techniques
The event is curated by the Royal Mile Whiskies team, winners of the 2025 Spirits Retailer award. A highlight is the collaboration with top Edinburgh bartenders, such as Robert Meek from Port of Leith Distillery and Sian Buchan from Uno Mas, who will teach enthusiasts how to craft cocktails at home using accessible techniques.
