The Macallan has announced the launch of the fifth edition in its Distil Your World series: Distil Your World Paris Single Malt Scotch Whisky. This series explores global urban cultures, and after New York, London, Mexico, and Hong Kong, the spotlight now turns to Paris. Crafted by Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell in collaboration with El Celler de Can Roca, the expression is inspired by the French "Art de la Table," capturing the city’s refined flavors and cultural essence.

Innovative Cask Craftsmanship: The First Use of Rare Cognac Casks
To interpret the essence of Paris, Kirsteen Campbell selected American and European Sherry Oak casks alongside ex-Bourbon casks, uniquely incorporating rare Cognac casks for the first time. Bottled at 47.2% ABV, this single malt features aromas of almond croissants, roses, nectarines, and sandalwood vanilla. The palate offers flavors of buttery pastry, brioche, and peach Melba. The liquid's color, named Parisian Sunrise, evokes the morning light over Montmartre.
A Visual and Gastronomic Symphony of Parisian Streets
The packaging design was created by artist Cassandre Montoriol, featuring a vibrant yellow box inspired by Parisian street lamps, with inner illustrations depicting outdoor dining scenes. The brand also released a documentary charting the team's journey with legendary figures like Chef Anne-Sophie Pic. Joan Roca noted that the city's numerous Michelin-starred restaurants reflect a pursuit of excellence and elegance, perfectly merging fine dining with the art of living.
