Located in Kentucky, USA, Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co. has announced that it will release its first-ever 10-year-aged whiskey, Henry Kraver’s Old Reserve Bourbon, on April 22, 2026. This expression will debut in Louisville and is scheduled for an annual limited release on the birthday of the distillery's founder, Henry Kraver. Bottled at Barrel Proof, the distillery plans to release subsequent batches on the same date every year to continue the brand's long-standing cultural heritage.

Five Generations of Distilling Craftsmanship and Quality Commitment

This release not only represents a 10-year maturation milestone since the Taylor family revived the Kentucky Peerless brand but also serves as a tribute to its legendary heritage. Founder Henry Kraver began distilling in 1889, and the current operations are led by the fourth and fifth generations of his descendants. Notably, the distillery still uses the same distilled spirits plant number, DSP-KY-50, as in the 19th century and emphasizes that production is never outsourced. The distillery maintains a strict Grain to Bottle philosophy, with every step completed independently on-site using the "Sweet Mash" process to ensure peak quality.

Award-Winning Peak of Ten-Year Flavor

The first release (Batch 1) of Henry Kraver’s Old Reserve Bourbon is bottled at 58.5% ABV. Kentucky Peerless has delivered an impressive performance, previously winning "World's Best Bourbon" at the 2024 International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC). Distiller Nick Klee noted that 10-year-old whiskey possesses highly distinct flavors, requiring precise balance during blending. The liquid offers aromas of tobacco and vanilla ice cream, with a palate featuring layers of mocha and brownie. With Batch 2 already planned for 2027, the distillery demonstrates its commitment to long-term development, perfectly blending traditional craftsmanship with modern spirit.
