Kavalan to Launch First Age-Statement Whisky: 15-Year-Old Single Malt in 2025

Taiwanese whisky pioneer Kavalan Distillery has announced the launch of its first age-statement whisky, the Kavalan 15-Year-Old Single Malt Whisky 2025 Edition, set to debut in 2025. This limited-edition release commemorates a historic milestone in Asian whisky production and highlights Kavalan's mastery in crafting exceptional whiskies.

Bottled at 43% ABV, the whisky pays homage to Kavalan's first distillation of Taiwanese new make spirit in 2006. Only 30,000 bottles will be released globally, featuring rare spirits aged under Taiwan's subtropical climate, offering remarkable complexity and depth.

Kavalan CEO Mr. YT Lee stated that the whisky aims to achieve a multi-layered flavor profile and balance through maturation in four distinct cask types: ex-Bourbon, Oloroso Sherry, Ruby Port, and Puncheon, each contributing unique flavor characteristics.

The packaging design reflects the whisky's complexity, with natural wood grain patterns symbolizing depth and maturity, complemented by a gold-embossed Kavalan logo for a touch of luxury.
