Scotch whisky brand House of Hazelwood has officially released the 2026 Charles Gordon Collection, a series comprising four rare, limited-edition whiskies hand-selected from the Gordon family's private stocks. Celebrated as one of the world's most remarkable collections of aged Scotch, this release features whiskies aged between 45 and 48 years, showcasing decades of patience, tradition, and understated innovation. Highlights include an exceptionally rare 1977 Girvan Single Grain and the brand's first-ever peated Blended Scotch.

Half a Century of Flavor Evolution: A Different World and The Silent Partner

Among the new releases, A Different World is a 1977 Single Grain aged in a single First-fill Sherry Butt for 48 years. Its distinct herbal notes stem from techniques no longer used at the Girvan distillery. The Silent Partner, a 47-year-old Blended Scotch, marks the brand's first foray into peat. It masterfully blends Lowland grain and Highland malt whiskies using traditional 1970s peat-drying techniques, delivering a subtle, elegant, and enduring smoky layer balanced with sweetness.

Honoring Family Tradition: A Fond Farewell and An Organised Whole

The 46-year-old A Fond Farewell utilizes rare stocks filled on Hogmanay (New Year's Eve) during the 1970s, serving as a tribute to a now-discontinued family tradition. An Organised Whole is a 45-year-old Blended Malt that captures the essence of various Highland distilleries, aged long-term in Hogsheads and Sherry Butts.

Director Jonathan Gibson stated that the 2026 Collection acts as a bridge between past and present, celebrating the long-term interaction between oak and spirit.
