Heaven Hill Unveils Limited Artist Series Featuring Kentucky Watercolor Bourbon
Heaven Hill Distillery recently announced the launch of a new limited edition packaging series, inviting Kentucky artist Bri Bowers to create watercolor paintings to celebrate the brand's ninety-year bourbon-making tradition. This collaboration transforms the classic Heaven Hill Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey into highly collectible works of art, featuring five unique label designs depicting the distillery's iconic locations and traditions.
The art series showcases five one-of-a-kind designs. The labels feature Heaven Hill's barns in Bardstown, some dating back to the 1930s, and a twelve-story brick-built rickhouse in downtown Louisville. Another design focuses on the Heaven Hill Springs Distillery, set to open in September 2025, marking the company's return to production in Bardstown following a fire in 1996. Additionally, two exclusive labels will be available only at Heaven Hill's Bardstown visitor center, showcasing the award-winning Bourbon Experience and the distillery's Championship Barrel Rolling Team.
Kelly Hendriksen, Heaven Hill Distillery's senior brand manager, stated, "This series is a love letter to Heaven Hill's history and to Kentucky itself. For nearly ninety years, Heaven Hill has been deeply woven into the fabric of Kentucky bourbon history, carrying on the traditions that define America's native spirit. Bri's work beautifully captures the people, places, and pride that have shaped our bourbon, and indeed, the broader Kentucky bourbon story."
Kentucky artist Bri Bowers created original watercolor illustrations specifically for this release, her work vividly capturing various aspects of the distillery's operations and its cultural significance within the Kentucky bourbon industry. Bowers remarked, "I am incredibly honored to be the first artist invited to participate in this project with Heaven Hill. It brings me immense joy to imagine my work representing Kentucky and appearing on shelves and in homes across the country!"
The flavor profile of this bourbon series maintains its consistent excellence. Official tasting notes describe a golden amber hue, with aromas of vanilla, honey, and caramel. The palate is warm and sweet, with subtle notes of rye spice, balanced by oak and toasted flavors, leading to a long, lingering finish.
Heaven Hill has also added an interactive element with the "Golden Cork Sweepstakes" activity. Under the caps of some bottles, a golden cork is hidden, offering lucky winners a chance to receive an in-depth distillery experience. This includes a visit to two Heaven Hill facilities, a tasting session with Master Distiller Conor O'Driscoll, and exclusive behind-the-scenes access.
