Five-Cask Maturation and Flavour Profile
Accompanying the exhibition is the unveiling of the Glenfiddich & Aston Martin Formula One Team 16-Year-Old Limited Edition Release No.2, bottled at 43% ABV. This single malt whisky is crafted from a vatting of five different cask types: first-fill Bourbon casks, Port casks, Oloroso Sherry casks, wine casks, and Fino Sherry casks.
Official tasting notes reveal that this 16-year-old expression delivers rich aromas of stewed fruit, marzipan, and polished leather, followed on the palate by layers of butter toffee and dry oak tannins.

Precision Motorsport Engineering Meets Whisky Blending
Brian Kinsman, Malt Master at Glenfiddich, highlighted that Formula 1 engineering and whisky blending share profound philosophy—both relying on myriad micro-adjustments to achieve ultimate balance, with the core of this expression being the harmonious integration of five distinct cask types. Adrian Newey, Managing Technical Partner of the Aston Martin Formula One Team, remarked that what struck him most about the collaboration was the synergy between artistry and engineering, noting that whisky making blends rigorous engineering logic with distinct character.
The installation was executed by creative agency Dentsu X, taking six months to develop the concept and 650 hours to engineer the brand's iconic bottle shape into a structure capable of housing a full-sized car. The partnership first began with a 65-year-old single malt distilled in 1959, which has since evolved into a comprehensive global collaboration across multiple releases.
