Bladnoch推出Wave II:蒸餾廠與烈酒系列 探索威士忌製作的五大支柱

Bladnoch Launches Wave II - Distillery & Spirit - Exploring the Five Pillars of Whisky Making

Bladnoch, Scotland's oldest private whisky distillery, has unveiled Wave II - Distillery & Spirit, the second release in The Wave Master Distiller’s Collection. This five-part series, released annually in limited quantities, highlights the five pillars of whisky making as defined by Bladnoch's master distiller, Dr Nick Savage.

Wave II focuses on Bladnoch's Lowland distillery character and spirit style, matured in a combination of re-charred sherry casks and first-fill bourbon barrels, then finished in a second Amontillado sherry blending cask. This process enhances Bladnoch's signature fruity and floral notes. Dr Nick Savage emphasizes that all Bladnoch whiskies share the same Lowland spirit, creating a consistent core for its single malts.

Bottled at 57% ABV and non-chill filtered, Wave II features flavors of pear drops, pineapple, and ginger. The aroma offers summer barley and pear drops, while the palate delivers layers of roasted pineapple and ginger biscuits, finishing with fresh floral and spicy notes.

To celebrate the launch, Bladnoch will host Wave Day on June 14, 2025, allowing whisky enthusiasts worldwide to sample Wave II. Each release in the series is limited to 1,817 bottles, paying homage to the distillery's founding year.

Founded in 1817, Bladnoch was revitalized after being acquired by Australian businessman David Prior. Under Dr Nick Savage's leadership, the distillery has won numerous international awards, including a gold medal at the 2025 World Whiskies Awards and a double gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Bladnoch remains committed to using British malt and local Bladnoch river water, crafting non-chill filtered whiskies that embody classic Lowland character.
