Aberlour 窖藏逾半世紀 隆重推出首款50年單一麥芽威士忌

Aberlour Releases First Ever 50-Year-Old Single Malt Whisky

Renowned Scottish single malt Scotch whisky brand Aberlour has announced the release of its first-ever precious 50-year-old matured whisky. This limited edition Speyside whisky signifies a major milestone in whisky maturation craftsmanship for the Aberlour distillery, part of Pernod Ricard. This 50-year-old single malt Scotch whisky is the result of five years of meticulous care and supervision of its final maturation stages by the brand's Master Distiller Graeme Cruickshank and his team.

Graeme Cruickshank stated that this Aberlour 50 Year Old is more than just a bottle of whisky; it is a living heritage, embodying time, the power of nature, and the unremitting dedication of craftsmen. Every drop tells a story of fifty years of careful nurturing, perfectly showcasing the unique terroir of the Speyside region and the distillery's deep, generational expertise, making it suitable for connoisseurs seeking the extraordinary and rich narratives.

According to the official tasting notes provided by the brand, the whisky's aroma offers soft fruit notes, including ripe apricots, red apples, pears, and cantaloupe melon. These fruity notes are harmonized with roasted hazelnuts, delicate meringue, milk chocolate-covered marshmallows, and spices with the warm scents of cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate features orange marmalade, creamy vanilla fudge, and vanilla custard tart, accompanied by a subtle spicy kick from ginger slices steeped in syrup.

Each bottle is a work of art, presented in a bespoke oak cabinet meticulously crafted by contemporary designer John Galvin. The cabinet utilizes traditional oak cask manufacturing techniques, made from twelve oak pieces, with its exterior carved to mimic the texture of natural bark. Furthermore, each display case includes a unique polished granite base, sourced from the distillery's decommissioned cooperage, adding a historical touch. This move reflects the growing demand from global collectors and investors for ultra-aged single malt whiskies. Since its founding in 1879, Aberlour distillery has been known for its sherry cask matured whiskies and is part of the Pernod Ricard portfolio, which also includes renowned brands such as The Glenlivet and Chivas Regal.
