2026 Global Whisky Challenge: 13 Double Gold Winners Revealed
A Battle of Craft: New Distilleries and Classics Shine at the 3rd Global Event
The 3rd Global Whisky Challenge, hosted by Whisky Mogul Media, has concluded. This year featured 140 whiskies from 7 countries, including the USA, Canada, Japan, Scotland, and Mexico. After multiple rounds of blind tastings and final re-evaluations, only 13 whiskies earned the prestigious Double Gold honor with scores of 95 or higher.

Out of 78 winners, the highest score of 97 points and the Platinum award went to Peg Leg Porker Black Label. The Best of Show title was claimed by George T. Stagg 2025 Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey with 96 points. Second and third places were awarded to Stranahan’s Mountain Angel 10 year and Scotland’s Ardnamurchan Cask Strength.

Stranahan’s delivered an impressive performance, with several entries like Stranahan’s Original securing Double Gold. Israel’s M&H distillery struck gold with their Art & Craft series, while Eagle Rare 12 and WhistlePig Old World Rye Aged 12 Years also excelled. Additionally, Mexico’s Prohibited Ley Seca won Gold, showcasing global regional diversity.
