The Whisky Exchange Welcomes New Managing Director Natalie Tennent
The Whisky Exchange has appointed Natalie Tennent as its new Managing Director, with the change taking effect on July 7, 2025. Tennent will replace Olivier Gasperin, the current Deputy Managing Director, who will return to Pernod Ricard headquarters at the end of June, concluding his three-and-a-half-year tenure. During this period, Gasperin oversaw the integration of The Whisky Exchange with Pernod Ricard.
Prior to joining The Whisky Exchange, Natalie Tennent spent 30 years at Berry Bros. & Rudd, a renowned wine and spirits merchant, most recently serving as Chief Commercial Officer, where she drove international expansion. Earlier, she led the company's spirits division.
Pernod Ricard acquired The Whisky Exchange's parent company, Speciality Drinks, in September 2021, marking a key step in the group's e-commerce strategy. Alexandre Ricard, Chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard, described e-commerce as a critical channel for long-term growth, emphasizing the importance of The Whisky Exchange, the UK's largest online spirits retailer and the world's largest online whisky platform, in achieving this goal.
Nicolas Oudinot, CEO of Pernod Ricard's direct-to-consumer division, thanked Gasperin for his work over the past three and a half years, highlighting his success in preserving The Whisky Exchange's brand identity and neutrality during the integration process.
Moving forward, Tennent will oversee The Whisky Exchange, Speciality Drinks, and Whisky.Auction. She is also a member of Keeper of the Quaich, an honorary organization in the Scotch whisky industry, bringing extensive industry experience and global perspective to her new role.
