Barrel Proof and Family Heritage

This year’s 13 Year Old is bottled at Barrel Proof with an ABV of 60.6%. Eddie Russell personally selected several rare barrels for this blend, including an exceptional 18-year-old barrel he rediscovered during the filming of the documentary. Eddie’s son and Associate Blender, Bruce Russell, noted that this remarkable 18-year-old whiskey was integrated into this year’s release, symbolizing three generations of passion and heritage in whiskey craft.

On the palate, this bourbon offers aromas of vanilla, oak, brown sugar, and coffee, accented by unique orange peel notes. The taste centers on cherry and citrus, followed by layers of nutmeg, spice, and the sweetness of cola. The finish is medium-long with caramel, toffee, and subtle oak tannins.
