Renowned Islay distillery Laphroaig has officially announced the return of its highly anticipated 15-Year-Old Single Malt Whisky to its core product line. Discontinued since 2009, this classic expression has long been missed by whisky enthusiasts. Now, the distillery brings it back to stand alongside the existing 10- and 18-year-old expressions, completing the core age range series and allowing global fans to experience the unique charm of this legendary dram once again.

New Flavors and Layered Expressions

The newly debuted Laphroaig 15 Year Old (46% ABV) is matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks. Through extended aging, the distillery's signature peat smoke and sea salt characteristics are softened and perfectly blended, creating a striking micro-sweet palate. On the nose, the whisky emits vibrant citrus aromas accompanied by subtle notes of hay, BBQ smoke, vanilla, and clove. The palate reveals layers of warm spices like sea salt, black pepper, and cinnamon, while the finish brings fruity notes of juicy peach and grapefruit, offering a long-lasting and complex finish.

Suntory Global Spirits' Chief Blender for Scotch and Irish, Dr. Calum Fraser, commented on this new release, noting that the team patiently waited for the spirit to reach its optimal state, finally welcoming the glorious return of Laphroaig 15 Year Old.
