Jim Beam 230th Anniversary Limited Edition Bowling Pin Bottle Makes a Classic Return
To celebrate its 230th anniversary, Jim Beam is releasing a highly collectible limited edition Pin Bottle, reviving its classic bottle design. This special edition will be available exclusively at the James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Clermont, Kentucky, starting on Jim Beam Day, August 23rd, with no other retail channels.
This new bottle recreates one of the most sought-after designs from among the more than 3,000 decorative bottles Jim Beam produced between the 1940s and 1990s. The bowling pin-shaped bottle held special significance for Jim Beam himself; according to the brand, he would gift this whiskey to friends, family, and business partners on special occasions.
The bottle contains 8-year-old bourbon whiskey, bottled at 86.8 proof (43.4% ABV), matching the exact specifications of the original release. To ensure consistency with the original product, this whiskey was aged in the historic 9-story rackhouse.
Official tasting notes describe the bourbon as having a deep golden amber color, with aromas of crisp oak, baked bread, and toffee. The palate offers a delicate upfront sweetness intertwined with rich toasted oak and a slight char, leading to a warm, clean finish with a hint of sweetness.
Since its founding in 1795, Jim Beam remains one of the world's best-selling bourbon brands and is now owned by Suntory Global Spirits. The release of this Pin Bottle coincides with the continued strong growth of the American whiskey category, echoing recent limited editions from other major bourbon producers, and is sure to attract collectors and enthusiasts from around the world to the Kentucky distillery.
