Glenfiddich 與 André Saraiva 聯手推出 Grand Château 限量版31年威士忌

Glenfiddich Collaborates with André Saraiva to Launch Grand Château Limited Edition Whisky

On September 5, 2024, Glenfiddich, the world's most awarded single malt Scotch whisky brand, collaborated with French artist André Saraiva to launch the latest limited edition whisky in its Grand series, Grand Château. André Saraiva, an internationally acclaimed artist known for his collaborations with global luxury brands, provided inspiration for the packaging and promotional visuals, merging two cultures into the design.

André Saraiva is renowned for his iconic street art style, particularly his cheerful 'Mr.A' character wearing a top hat. This collaboration highlights Glenfiddich's longstanding support for the arts, whether through partnerships with renowned artists or by inviting emerging talents to create at the distillery.

Grand Château is a 31-year-old whisky, marking Glenfiddich's first use of Bordeaux red wine casks for maturation. The whisky was initially aged in American oak barrels before undergoing a nine-year secondary maturation in Bordeaux red wine casks, resulting in a rich and unique flavor profile featuring notes of caramelized cherries, apples, warm spices, and toasted oak.

André Saraiva's packaging design draws inspiration from the fusion of Speyside and Bordeaux, combining traditional Toile de Jouy patterns with his signature style to create a distinctive visual. The limited edition packaging also features his 'Mr.A' character, symbolizing the whisky's global appeal.

Brian Kinsman, Glenfiddich's Malt Master, noted that the Bordeaux red wine casks added complex layers of flavor, making this whisky a highly collectible piece. Grand Château is the latest addition to the Grand series, which includes other limited editions like Grand Yozakura and Grande Couronne, each showcasing Glenfiddich's commitment to innovation and quality.
