Glen Grant推出65年單一麥芽威士忌,僅發行151瓶

Glen Grant Launches 65-Year-Old Single Malt Whisky, Limited to 151 Bottles

Glen Grant today announced the launch of the first product in its new 'Splendours Collection'—a 65-year-old single malt whisky, limited to just 151 bottles. This whisky was distilled in 1958 using slender coal-fired pot stills and aged in a single French oak cask, stored in the distillery's oldest traditional stone warehouse, Warehouse No.4.

The inspiration for this whisky comes from Glen Grant's famous 'Splendours Garden', with each product in the collection being a handcrafted masterpiece that pays tribute to the natural elements thriving within the distillery. This limited-edition release specifically honors the Himalayan blue poppy, one of the rarest flowers on Earth, symbolizing Glen Grant's eternal pursuit of excellence.

The Himalayan blue poppy continues to bloom in the distillery's garden, serving as a symbol of the founder, James 'The Major' Grant, who created the distillery's renowned garden.

The 65-year-old whisky is presented in a handcrafted decanter designed by John Galvin and Glasstorm, with the bottle's design inspired by the Möbius strip seed pod, representing the eternal cycle of nature.

Greig Stables, Glen Grant's master distiller, stated that the rarity of this 65-year-old whisky reflects the distillery's commitment to innovation and tradition in whisky-making. Despite being distilled in 1958, the methods remain largely unchanged, preserving the founder's legacy. Aged in a single French oak cask, this whisky showcases rich flavors and the unique Glen Grant style.
