Online tasting note for reference:
Nose:
ample, unctuous. On the first nose, notes of apricot, brandied cherry, white peach and raisins relegate to the background aromas of malted barley, iodine, smoke and dry peat.
Taste:
straight, precise. On the attack, camphor, ashes and a peat that has become rooty (gentian) rub shoulders with milk chocolate, heather honey, quince jelly and apricot coulis. The chocolate gradually becomes dark (100%).
Finish:
long, full of serenity. Slightly meaty (bacon, leather), the start of the finish is mostly covered with a thin film of ashes. The hearth of the fireplace is not far.
