Online tasting note for reference:
Nose: Leafy peat with chalky notes, sour dough, hints of plastics, sweet apples, vanilla toffee, lemon, and medicinal notes. Big brutal peaty maritime glory with bunched herbs, linoleum on rubber tyre frame set alight, earthy, oily, dirty, ashy, and cereal core. Smoky toffee, creamy sweet toffee and vanilla, sweet peat, stable scents, kitchen salt, young apples, liquorice, wet wood, butane gas. Peat moss, rock salt, soil, mezcal, green apples, anise, kilned clay, chlorine, peach yogurt, aged dry cheese.
Palate: Oily, pungent, herbal, slightly rough, surprisingly sweet, jammy ashtray, pastry near a beach bonfire, mocha, grapefruits, coastal notes, sweet herbs. Peat, swiss chard green bitterness, earthy herb garden on fire, smoked wetsuits, dried salted lemon, maritime flavours, complexity, breadth, drier than the regular 16. Fruitier with underripe apples and bananas, lemon juice, pear, orange pith, acidic, medicinal notes, butter and toffee, brackish sea water, olive oil, smokiness, oak, pepper. Big gorgeous effervescent peat, fresh cherries, almonds, cocoa powder, crisp seaweed, zesty fresh ginger, minty menthol, sugar. Pale and broader with fleshiness, squid ink, white pepper.
Finish: Long, rather bitter and herbal but always sweet. Ash, aftertaste of something smoked, withered grass, solvent. Lingers very long, warm and smoky with sweet and salt. Smoldering peat bricks, salted almonds, menthol, sweetness. Peppery, mossy, sweet, salty, minor pear.
