스뫼겐(Smögen)은 2009년 변호사이자 위스키 애호가인 Pär Caldenby가 설립한 스웨덴 증류소입니다. 스뫼겐은 스웨덴의 지명이기도 합니다.
생산량은 적지만 2019년과 2020년 WF에서 매우 좋은 성적을 거두며 이 젊은 증류소에 대한 관심이 높아졌습니다.
독립 병입(IB) 스뫼겐 위스키는 시장에서 매우 보기 드뭅니다.

Online tasting note for reference:

Nose:
Dark berries such as blackberries on a tangy, fruity background, with rhubarb, caramelized cane sugar and whole milk chocolate with nuts as well as a fine spice reminiscent of coniferous forests.

Palate:
Full-bodied and dark, spicy, but at the same time gentle and mild with dark chocolate, overripe blackberries and block malt. Then light peat smoke, maritime echoes and spicy pine needles.

Finish:
Dark, fruity and creamy with subtle peat smoke, dark chocolate and finely finished spiciness.
